Learn Dead Man's Party (1985) by Oingo Boingo

This is probably the most well-known Oingo Boingo song there is. When this album came out in 1985, it really marked a shift, I felt, in the band's musicality. This song is really fun to play for the guitarist! Only a few different parts to learn and some nice rest time between phrases. The bass player on the other hand, is going non-stop! You will feel your forearm burning, I guarantee it.

Cool, I've looked at two others how to play Dead Man's Party. There was one guitar (maybe) transcribed. They weren't bad for at least getting through the song. BUT, after only listening to this while doing other things and not really paying attention I noticed every little part is in there, it seems like even keyboard parts were transcribed!! Excellent!! Now I am going to get my guitar and learn everything on this video!!! Seriously one of the best of ALL guitar song tutorials. If there are two guitars transcribe both because a lot of times guitars are doing two different things!! No empty space in this transcription!! Long song too, like 6 minutes or so. Thank you for taking the time to do this AND to get it pretty close to perfect!! I know it was a lot of work.

Great effort. My only immediate critique is this: The descending triad Gtr hook is played on the same three strings and slides around. It gives it that subtle human (smooooth) touch. You can hear and see it especially if you watch him live, but it is definitely how he originally played it too. Way to go for all this work, though!
