Rick was playing so well with the Jumbomax M sized grip on the course. Wish he would give those grips another 5-10 rounds.

Get fit for the exact right size of those and just take the time to get used to them. It’s going to feel weird and like you have to force it, I mean you said yourself you’ve been using regular grips for 20 years. But it’s absolutely worth giving a real go especially over the winter.

Would have been interesting to see what the medium size JumboMax that was recommended for you and see those results….i use the JumboMax small size on my wedges and had great results

I have the same sized hands as you Rick. I switched to this 2 years ago for my driver and I have never thought to go back! I also played baseball and softball for a long time so it felt similar to a bat grip. It will 100% take a way bad hooks and has changed my driver game for the best! Wish I had these long

My favorite grips have been the Winn Dri-Tac Wrap Oversized. It’s extremely grippy no slip and the comfortability is by far the best in my opinion.

I play with the jumbomax xl grips but im 6'5" with working hands like a gorilla hand. I love them. It seriously changed from feelimg like a tooth pick in my hands to a natural feel i dont have to squeeze so hard my grip feels so much more natural now too.

Try the ultralites. Superb. If u have any hand or wrist pain, these grips are a god send.

Back in my 20s I switched to jumbo grips (they are not as big as the Bryson grips but bigger than standard regular grips). It really helped me in every aspect. Same for my putter grip. I never went to the newer, massive diameter putter grips. I tried one for a while and hated it. Everyone is different. Find what works for YOUR game and that you feel confident with.

I just got these grips, I've played three rounds. My hook is gone. My longest drives with normal grips were in the 290s. With the Jumbo Max I had three drives last round of 322, 318 and 312. Pretty crazy. I am blocking more iron shots though in time i think I'll adapt. Overall very happy.

I bought the Jumbo Max XL Lite because I was developing a snap hook. Fell in love instantly on the first hit. My miss is more of a push right or when I really catch up a 3-5 yd baby draw. You get a sense of relaxing the grip when you grip the club. I know in the lite version you can actually feel the club head and the position at impact much more. I was skeptic on these but had nothing to lose because having a two way miss is way more infuriating than trying out a new grip
Debating on changing all my iron grips to Jumbo Max Lites as well but going to experiment and probably go medium/large size instead of XL like I have in my driver

Been using the Jumbomax grips for 6 months now and they have changed my game completely! So much more comfortable and consistent. I dealt with tendinitis on my wrist and these grips have eliminated that. No doubt they feel weird and maybe even terrible at first, but with a little bit of getting used to them I can't recommend them enough! Not surprised with the results of this test at all, highly recommend anybody trying bigger grips in general. It makes the game more comfortable and easy.

I switched to jumbo xl grips on all my clubs 3 months ago. My distance and scoring both have improved

i've had the jumbo grips on my clubs for 2 years now and my handicap has dropped significantly. As a former tennis player, it feels much more natural in my hands and makes determining the club face direction so much easier. It is also great in damp conditions. I play golf in florida primarily and will catch myself not even wearing gloves some shots just because they're not necessary.

There are 6 different sizes of each grip type they offer, as well as the Ultralite version which are much lighter than the heavier Tour grip that Rick is using here in the video. So before you go writing them off just from watching the video and thinking they only have XL ones that you can't wrap your hands around, start off with an extra small one for yourself. Just a heads up though, the extra small size they offer is quite large when never trying one before (equivalent or larger than another brands Jumbo size). So they also do offer the "standard" size as well which is the smallest. Full details for each grip and size on their website.

it'd be interesting to see you compare, regular grips, to medium, to large, oversized and jumbo. Show the full range and how they change things for you.

You should have tried the UltraLite™ ones (made with foam) instead of the heavy ones (made with rubber). Bryson uses the ones made with foam if I'm not mistaking. The lite ones have the advantage of much less unbalancing the club (aka when you said the club head felt lighter) (aka swing weight). I personally have the UltraLite ones (XL) on ALL my clubs, including putter, and I have been using them for 4 years now. I will never EVER go back to the ridiculous skinny grips who litterally destroy our fingers.
