Ο πατέρας μου ήταν στα καράβια τη δεκαετία του '50. Απ' τις πολλές ιστορίες που μας
διηγούταν θυμάμαι και εκείνες που μας έλεγε για τα τραγούδια που ακούγανε στο πλοίο τότε.
Ένα από τα αγαπημένα του ήταν και η Μαριγούλα η Μανταλένα που διασκευάσαμε. Εγώ το πρωτογνώρισα απ' τον πατέρα μου και μετά το ανακάλυψα μετά από πολλά χρόνια με τη φωνή του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη.

My father was a sailor in the 50s. Among the stories he told us I remember also those about the songs they used to sing on the ship. One of his favourites was "Marigoula Madalena" which we covered.
