Your model design is the most creative and original I've seen! Most of the other generative art models I've seen are just advanced instagram filters. Some questions off the top of my head: What determines the type of art generated by the model, i.e. you mention that random noise is the input for traditional GAN models, is this the case for Marcus as well? In addition, what are the hyperparameters that can be tuned to get what you want? Lastly, can image classification be incorporated into the model? i.e. for the artworks used for training, if they have labels of what they are (e.g. medium: oil, subject: horse, style: impressionist etc.), can we then use the classification model to tell Marcus: create an oil painting of a horse in the impressionist style? Sorry for all these questions, probably better if we converse over email or instagram. Much like you, my interest in art and tech has led me down this path, my dream is create an AI that can create original art that passes a variant of the Turing test (for example, success would be pretending to be human with a backstory and selling the art for x dollar amount online or even to a gallery =)).

Very good vid. 2022 will be the year that artists and musicians worldwide will probably see for the first time what generative AI can do.

They will either embrace GAN or be horrified by how society will come to love it. No it won't replace the good artists/musicians but it will again blur the lines.

People will say it certainly looks like art...sounds like music..looks like a human but what actually created them may be the mystery.

Kinda crazy to think just 3 years ago the idea of an AI making art was a niche and curious idea. Now look at where we are. Mind boggling.

I remeber a time when openAI's gpt technology was practically a toy used for auto generated text adventure games, and now it has reshaped our entire civilization. Everyone has heard of chatGPT, my grandmother knows.
