How to Add a Click to Call Button in WordPress

Are you wanting to add a click to call button on your WordPress site? As more people visit your website using their smartphones, adding a tap-to-call button makes it easy for them to contact you. In this article, we will show you how to easily add a click-to-call button in your WordPress website.

To start out, the WP Call Button plugin would be our primary recommendation. With the plugin installed and activated you should go to the plugin's settings under Settings, WP Call Button. Add your phone number and select the correct country code to start it with, decide what text you want the button to have, the button position, and the color for the button. The plugin even has a static option for placing the button in content or a widget on your site.

For the second method we will be using HTML, you can find the code from this tutorial in the text version of the guide here:

Lastly, we will add the call link to our menu on the site. You would want to add a custom link and rather than starting with HTTP you would use tel: and add your phone number starting with the country code. You will also want to set the text to something that your users know to click to call you.

I recently launched my new WP site and am using the WP Call button. Right now, Search Console is flagging me saying there's a "deceptive page" but won't tell me where or what it is.

The phone number linked is a cell number and not a business number. Shot in the dark, but is it possible that's what could be getting flagged?
