Found a baby bird in the road with no nests nor parents in sight. Only half of his feathers. Struggled to save him but did. Named him Roscoe. Prepared and trained him to be released. Released him 9 times. Kept coming back. Finally decided he could stay. One of his many Facebook friends gave us a massive cage we put in our sunroom. Each morning I opened the doors and he had complete run of the place. Amazing bird. Actually housebroke himself. He would fly into the cage to relieve himself. Very very intelligent. Sadly somebody reported me to the Florida Wildlife Commission and he was removed and released in the middle of winter. Hours later the head of the FWC called me to apologize. I still miss him. Have written a book I’m about to release about him. ROSCOE:My CARDINAL Sin.

My dad's favorite animal was a cardinal, he passed away last year in october not too long after my 16th birthday, i just saw one twice this morning and it made me happy RIP Dad

I have them along with blue jays, squirrels, deer and chipmunks in my yard. Sometimes an occasional fox.

So peaceful being quiet with the critters.

There's one that keeps coming to visit me in my backyard for the last 2-3 months. I fell in love with him. He makes my day when I see him.

So cute!! I have a baby rescued cardinal, which we rescued yesterday. We stayed outside for an hour, look for the father or the mother and nothing. So we realized he is an orphan. He can’t fly, and almost got eaten by our neighbors cat. We saved it and taking it to the vet now!!

Beautiful birds. I would see them in nature and I would always be amazed by them. Recently 3-4 of them have been showing up and hanging out in the tress in my back yard. I went from barely ever seeing one to now seeing them everyday 🙏
