Dr.Faustus - plot and summery explained in Tamil as a story

Dr.Faustus is a classic play written by Christopher Marlow between 1589 to 1592. Originally titled as The Tragical history of life and death of Dr.Faustus deals with the man who wanted to know everything in this world and out of the world. Dr.Faustus was a scholar who had an insatiable thirst for knowledge. His own desire becomes a tragic flaw in the character of Dr.Faustus. In search for the ultimate knowledge Dr.Faustus surrenders his soul to Satan and agrees to go to hell for eternity. Dr.Faustus ignores the warning of his friends and keeps selling his soul to Satan for the knowledge he desires. Satan appoints Mephistopheles as his assistant to serve Dr.Faustus. With his help Dr.Faustus comes to know the seven deadly sins. Faustus also comes to know the splendor of the great Alexander the conqueror. Faustus tries to kiss the great Helen of Troy.
After the stipulated time is over, according to the agreement Dr.Faustus is dragged to hell by Satan. Faustus is seen as a pathetic soul who suffers for eternity in hell. Dr.Faustus teaches us the lesson that the limitless desire to knowledge can lead us to hell
