Interceptor 650 | 865 Big bore kit project | Episode 1

This is the first video of a series about the S&S 865 big bore kit that I fitted on my Interceptor.
It's the unboxing of the kit and a quick look at the rest of the parts needed to do this modification.

Here in the US, S&S won’t sell the 865 kit to an end-user; you have to buy it from an installer, who will naturally want to install it. (Though you can buy the high compression pistons kit—not sure of the logic behind that.). At any rate, looking forward the project and seeing the performance improvements.

So, for all the bits you list, that would be around £3, 500 plus fitting (unless you can do it all yourself). If you add that to the price of the bike (£6, 000 unless you buy a second-hand bike) you are looking at something in the region of £10, 000. I think there are an awful lot of better bikes out there for that sort of cash...
