College students are continuing to protest the Israel-Hamas war. At New York City's Columbia University, where an encampment of students first made headlines, tensions are high and negotiations between students and administrators are stalled.

"CBS Saturday Morning" co-hosts Jeff Glor, Michelle Miller and Dana Jacobson deliver two hours of original reporting and breaking news, as well as profiles of leading figures in culture and the arts. Watch "CBS Saturday Morning" at 7 a.m. ET on CBS and 8 a.m. ET on the CBS News app.

This is Karma.
In 2019, U$ EU UK CAN AUS politicians encourage HK students to protest daily in campus and accuse HK polices doing their job.
Encourage students of others country doing it, but not allowed in their own country.

America's idea of "democracy" and "free speech" shown to the whole world.

It’s not anti-Semitic to protest against genocide

Thank you students, lead the way. Genocide is evil and unamerican.

They're becoming more volatile because both students and cops (especially) are becoming violent. The students have every right to protest as long as they don't hurt others. The Israel-Hamas stuff to others is about human life, but to me personally is just foreign policy.

The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the axe; for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood, he was one of them.

If these so called students represent our future, this country is in trouble.

Student protests has helped major causes in the past. Example: stopping vietnam war and the South Africa apartheid

If i was the governor of a state or even the president i would issue the national guard to protect the people from the police and let them protest in peace. If there is violence or vandalism then appropriate action should be taken responsibly without discrimination. If the autocratic enforcement to silence freedoms continue the US could face a nationwide civil rights movement that would shut down half the country.

The girl at 1:50 is talking about "nobody is talking about the hostages." She has every right to focus on and talk about that as the other group has every right to focus on and talk about the 30, 000 Palestinian deaths.

America should advocate the two states solution long passed in the UN and ask Israel to give back the occupied West Bank to Palestinians! Stop this absurd conflict once and for all!!

All of our public buses are taking route detours to avoid the state university in my city. It's not helping small businesses in that part of town at all.

College student should also protest release of hostages and when they are released the war can stop

This is the peaceful adult conversation that needs to be had with the students (and their benefactors in some instances) - there is a choice to not enroll in such colleges and a choice for the colleges to clean their investments of controversial financial associations. It's also an opportunity for schools to attract students who agree with their financial values. I think a lot of student transfers and changes in collegiate funding/investments should happen because of this.
