You ever get something that looks like it was played football with or spiked into the end zone? Team ups can do it for you. Brown Shirts and Short pants get you a power spike to the front door with no care in the world what is inside the box. Now we know why it's broken...UPS Touchdown! Ever try to deal with ups claims...It's not our problem it must not have been properly packed.

Mr. UPS man chucked the Box so fast that I only could get one video frame of the box in the air before it hit the front door.

Video is filmed at 15 frames per second. 6 feet from his hand to the door, do the math that box was cooking.

that is about 43.5 Feet per Second or 29.65mph, Not baseball fast...But fast enuff to break the Glass Mug inside the box.

Yeah I live in the UK too and never had a problem with any delivery company. Every 6 months onenof us in our house gets a new phone delivered by DPD and its always on time and not damaged. I am currently waiting for an iPad Mini which is coming from Royal Mail Special Delivery. It guarantees the parcel will be delivered the next day (obvs not on sundays) before 1pm or your money back.

An experienced UPS Package handler usually knows how to handle boxes....My own opinion since I have worked at UPS since I was 17 Now I am 21 and we handle all our boxes with respect, mysekf having handled millions of boxes I can kind of tell whats in the box but that box probably had paper in it or something, thats why he didnt use proper hand to surface technique...its cool UPS has insurance on this type of stuff anyway

So VERY, VERY true.
ESPECIALLY if item is marked as "fragile."

@IMRROcom I'm not quite sure you understand each other, Voitcu seems to be stating that UPS has altercations with the package senders, not necessarily blaming the senders for anything.

If you think that was bad, you should see the inside of the building.

haha if you think this is bad you would probably have a heart attack seeing how your package is treated during transit

@IMRROcom Lots of people with jobs here (Netherlands) too. Still, companies like UPS and the likes are not allowed to just leave any package behind. It has to be accepted by a person.

The package was not spiked but tossed.

this entertains me. i work in a ups hub and honestly theres way to much to get done to care. if the box breaks open it gets retaped, if my size 13 boot steps on it O WELL. hate to break it to yall but UPS workers are underpaid as shit which then causes us to not give a shit. which means your stuff gets broken. in fact ive had nights were ive "damaged" 20+ packages in a night. it happens, its usually not even the drivers fault that your stuff got broke its generally in the hub that it breaks.

This employee of UPS did not perform his duty in a manner acceptable to UPS. UPS requires all its employees who handle packages to use a "Hand-to-Surface" method, where the package is in your control until it is securely placed to the next surface.

you think that is bad? they get handled way worse at the hub when they get unloaded off the semi in know cuz I work there

Uhm... In my opinion, the second one doesn't show how it is done either...
Delivery guy walks up the front door, HOLDS the package, rings the bell, waits for someone to open the door and accept the package, and leaves. And if noone answers, come back tomorrow.

They do this because the normally know if its delicate or not.

Pays to have surveillance cameras. Why everyone doesn't have surveillance cameras is beyond comprehension. An alarm system, a gun, a dog, etc. would not be able to prove that the UPS man did this.Pays to have surveillance cameras.

If a driver has to bend over to "gently" set down each and every package he/she delivers, the driver will be on disability with a bad back in no time.

shouldve had the sender write "do not spike" on the box

actually it's not that bad compared to the " 3rd and long" throws that they usually do. I am sure the union boys will have a word with him and he'll get it right next time. why waste all that walking when you can toss it from the truck?
