Thank you very much, I completely agree with you, just would like to add that in some situations, controlling your emotions and not loosing contact with reality may save your life.

Congrats on MENSA! like the idea of using intelligence to (my thinking) eliminate hunger, smash racism, bring a sense of liberty to all.

I really like this video for the quote at that end. That's a really wise thing

I’m a Mensa member. I like the organization. Most people object to the existence of Mensa (and like organizations). I don’t care what you think.

It can't be that those questions were downright elementary. BUT, It'll be fun trying it! Thanks.

Since the members of Mensa couldn't agree on what the group should be about, it just ended up officially being a social group where people with an IQ of 130 or more could hang out with each other. Of course, there are several cliques within it, and those can privately pursue whatever common goal they have.

I took the supervised British Mensa IQ tests on the 2nd of July, 2016.
I scored in the 'High Average' range. So far from 'Gifted' level.
I admire highly intelligent people, as long as they are not nasty, but lol, I'll certainly never have the status of philosopher at the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry.

I figured out I should just keep my IQ a secret but I'm going to be honest it's the best thing.

I have dyslexia so I would struggle so hard on the maths and reading part, but the shapes seem so easy for me

I can't make a copy and pretend to be you?? Dang 😂

I just took the test out of curiosity in July and actually got in, which was surprising. Though not entirely because I'm definitely a nerd 🤓

You should address the nature of ideological possession. How people identify with certain groups and adopt worldviews for emotional reasons, whether a political or scientific paradigm, instead of doing their own research into contentious issues, studying opposing viewpoints, and coming to their own conclusions.

Most people treat politics like a spectator sport instead of a lifelong research project. They join team "liberal" or "conservative", team "left" or team "right", team blue or team red, and then they let talking heads on television tell them what they should think, and how they should FEEL about important issues. Then they can't engage in independent thinking because if they ever challenge any of the tenets of their quasi-religious political ideology, they risk an identity crisis and social ostracization. Thus, their brains protect them through cognitive biases like confirmation bias, groupthink, and the Semmelweis Reflex.

what do you think about the mensa denmark online tests. ive heard that you have a good chance of passing if you score 120+ on the test. i should be able to pass but im really hesitant.

So it sounds like he is talking about CBT, or REBT but he is not calling it these things.

16 was simply a fibonacci sequence, but perhaps because I'm in IT I have seen those sequences too many times XD I hit the 88th percentile last year, but I do remember being very stressed at the time and probably kinda nervous as which is odd, because I don't necessarily want to get in, but really just very curious what score I'd get. Maybe I will try one more time to just see if the outcome differs much or not. And because it was a very fun day as well

I had a different thought process on 2:40. Obviously the outside should be green but why couldn't be the other green? When i look at questions like this i feel like i should repeat the pattern that is already given. So i think that because the question goes "circle, circle, hexagon" then i should repeat it again starting with a circle! Could you explain why is my thought process wrong? I had scored 120 on the official test and i keep thinking that maybe we all have different thought processes and in some questions there could be 2 correct answers and i don't get why only one of them is actually right. I remember before they gave us the official test they did some rounds in the beggining for us to practice where they gave us the correct answers AND I GOT THEM WRONG but they were supposed to be easier than the test and they said that if someone gets them wrong there is no point in taking the test! But then how on earth did i get a score of 120? Obviously i should be smart enough to solve the easiest questions rather than the harder ones. So that's why i think maybe we have different ways of working around in SOME of the questions. Or maybe it's just wrong that i try to "repeat the pattern" like i said? And i shouldn't group them in threes but in twos?

Don't go around passing IQ tests...Focus on your objectives, work hard and try to attain them...A lot of high IQ individuals turn out to be unsuccesful in life

Decided to take this randomly in college when the group showed up. Didn't know anything about this organization or the test and I passed it. I also got 100s on both ASVABs. It was very easy, easier than the ASVAB and I think it's a scam tbh. I flunked out of college and rebuild transmissions now. I've met a few members and they're dangerous people because they don't know how ignorant they are.
