Numark NS7 Quick Calibration Tutorial

I bought this NS7 off craigslist about 1 month ago (Sept. 2021) for $100. I've only used vinyl up until this. I always thought using controllers over vinyl was cheating, I was wrong. This thing is awesome and I'm not sure I'll be going back to vinyl anytime soon.

Anyways, calibrating the Numark NS7 is a 3 step process, the last step is the trickiest (but doable with tweeking). Be sure to warm up your NS7 at least 30 minutes ahead of time. You might need to move the cross faders and volume controls back and forth a few times during the last step. Good luck.

Great tutorial. Even better that you even showed when you weren't sure if you had it complete. Helps people know that if you take your time anyone can do it. I recently purchased an NS7 III after wanting one for years. I wonder if it's the same process. Thanks for posting.

Hmm, thanks for this. Im getting back into d.j. after falling flat after attempting to switch from vinyl to digital.
I still have my NS7 and am wondering why they need to be calibrated or rather what does a calibration achieve?

I just purchased one used and the right side is not working unless I turn the motor control off. Which is basically useless I did go through the calibration settings and did it correct on the first try, , thank you for the vid!! still no difference though. I guess I will be returning this controller

My platters feel like they are dragging. I thought it is just the motors, would the root cause most likely be calibration?

Hello, can you give me advice. I have numark ns7ii, when i play song and then press cue it takes abou 3 seconds for scratch to work. I don't know if that is normal or not? Thank you

hey bro, thanks for making this, but I can't get past step one. when put them all to the left part, it just doesn't light up on 2, and I've tried it about 10 times before I sent you this message. any thoughts?

I just got one I'm tryna connect to serato which I had to downgrade versions and downloaded the driver for it but it dosent seem to connect

Hey Phil, I did the same thing buying the NS7 after years of just admiring it from the sidelines. Question though? Are you using Serato as well as can you show how you set up the NS7 with the computer because you are the only one I've seen to use the device without an XLR output. Thank you so much.

I know this is an old video. I have one of these and it won’t calibrate. I get through the first part. The second step the light will not come on no matter what I do.
