The Moraine Lake Bucket List Shot - a short film by Tim Shields in 4K UHD.

This short film is a story about a father and son's epic journey to Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains to get a bucket shot photo of a lifetime of Moraine Lake after a fresh snowfall. The problem is that things are not so simple and a number of problems block their way.

Banff National Park is located in Alberta, Canada (Kanada).

This short film is the director's cut. The first original version was launched on Youtube on October 27th, 2018 on this Youtube channel.

This is the director's cut of a video I first uploaded to Youtube on October 27th, 2018. If you search this channel you will see the original version that I titled "How I Got This Bucket List Photo". Here is the question...what is your bucket list shot? I know what my next bucket list shot is...and I am going to get it on February 20th, 2019. Can't wait! Another good video in the making...

I’ve been watching some of your videos, but hadn’t become a subscriber of your channel. That all changed with this video! The photo was awesome, and I watched the original video you posted previously about the bucket list photo. The image is amazing, but the story is the real treasure! As a father, and passionate photographer, this video really warmed my heart. As photographers, I think we sometimes get caught up in getting the perfect image, but miss the mark by not enjoying the journey along the way. Thank you Tim! I’m glad to be your 1, 883 subscriber!

Wonderful story, Tim. Proof once again that it isn't the destination, but the journey, that enriches us. A true Bucket List shot but, more important, a shared father-son experience to cherish for the rest of both your lives.

Guys, i loved this video :) I can feel it deeply because when i take my best pictures i am with my daughter mostly - who is 14 now - and she loves to be with me in these trip. Best feelings ever when you are going through the biggest lifetime moments and your loved ones are near you and your souls can high five with each other :)

Impressive, amazing, and rememberable video. You are now on your way to become a movie star too. Both you and your son are so natural actors. Love the story telling and the video edits. Memorable father and son bonding moments that I can totally relate too. More importantly, a happy ending to the movie.

The first video was excellent but this was was even better. As landscape photographers we get the unlucky side of the coin often, rain, wind, the sun doesn't pop out of the clouds, its always something :) It was wonderful that you got lucky break after lucky break. I feel like this was a once in a life time situation. Great work. Also, that photo is amazing!

Tim, what an absolute fantastic video! It was just so touching on different levels; your passion for photography and your father and son relationship. Wow, what an amazing experience it must have been for both of you and thanks so much to you both of you for giving so much of yourself and sharing this incredible video and story! (What a great young man your son is :-). Wish him good luck with achieving his dreams)
.
This video gave me a little flashback to a trip I made alone this summer when I drove up the Norwegian coastline. Started at 1600 and drove until midnight before I turned and started to shoot photos through the whole night and morning. Didn't get to bed in a hotel before 0930 the next morning = 17, 5 hours on the road with a lot of stops! Crazy, but I got what I wanted and it made memories for the rest of my life. So, I fully understand your passion and your desire to take that particular picture! Thank you so much for being such a great source of inspiration!

Excellent father and son on a hike, loved it, and very lucky for the new challenge, I recommend leaving the comfort zone to start a journey of learning and success, working for others does not bring inner success and peace of soul, in my case I I love photography and video so much, but I still have not been able to make the transition, I'm married with two children, my salary (paid) is very little, for many years I dream of video and photography, after 4 years of joining I was able to buy a Nikon D5600 was not the one that I liked but was what gave to buy, now I need lenses I would like to have a 10-24mm for nature photography and interiors, I would love to be able to work in photography, but for me at almost 47 years it will be difficult with my salary and 12h hard week by week more weekends ... But what I wanted to say is strength and make this trip with your father his passion is great, and strength for the beginning of an online career goes on, excellent video LOVE IT From Portugal Pedro ( Peter )
