I work in HR. I spend my entire time trying to get management to not employ those utterly unsuitable for job roles. We continually questioning the promotions that fall in to the face that fits category, including inexplicable wage rises for managers I wouldn't trust to push a trolley round a supermarket. Take call centres - I worked in them for 15 years. Not once in that time did I ever see someone promoted on ability, work ethic or competency. All were promoted because they were prepared to be yes men to whichever incompetent dictator was there.

Anybody who thinks that JP understands Marx hasn’t read any of Marx works. Further to that point, anybody who thinks that JP understands anything beyond self help writing probably doesn’t read.

It’s so bizarre that JP invokes Foucault here. The only people I’ve met who dislike Foucault and have actually read Discipline and Punish are tankies and the radical left. JP seems to think that Foucault is some identity politics-spouting ideologue, which seems to me to be a complete misrepresentation of his actual work. Tbh if you don’t believe me, you can read his work yourself. It’s available for free online. Discipline and Punish is probably his most popular and most accessible book. I highly recommend reading it, ESPECIALLY if you don’t think you’ll agree with him. It’s deeply valuable to be able to properly understand viewpoints that you oppose.

Hey Jordan, maybe you should quit always spouting venom and stop criticizing the systems that THE system enacts to make it look like they are taking action against problems like racism and equality and actually use your platform to take a stand against the system itself. Until Jordan starts acknowledging that the system is broken his rants will continue to fall on deaf ears. His eyes are so vacant just look at them. I’m embarrassed for that guys followers 😂
