ORIGINAL OWNER 1978 Fiat 124 Spider Dry Ice Cleaning & PPF

We've got a classic Fiat 124 Spider in our shop today for detailing and dry ice cleaning. This 1978 Fiat Spider is a single-owner vehicle that he bought when he was 18 years old! This Fiat 124 is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. We were tasked withing keeping it as original as possible and protecting several areas so the owner could keep driving this beautiful Fiat for many years to come.

We performed undercarriage dry ice cleaning, as well as dry ice blasting the wheel wells, engine bay, and trim pieces, just to remove the dirt, and apply a new even coat of cosmoline rust protection to keep it as close to stock as possible.

Then we brought it over to our detailing shop where we dove in to the gorgeous red interior, refreshing the leather with Swissvax Leather Cleaner and Swissvax Leather Milk. The owner wanted the car to feel exactly like it did when he pulled it off the lot new, so we corrected some little details that only the most passionate Fiat enthusiasts would notice, like the direction of the handles on the doors.

We applied paint protection film to many areas of the car that you wouldn't usually protect. We put ppf under the bonnet and in the trunk, where there's a chance of paint on paint action, to keep this as fresh as possible. The car was previously restored and in fantastic condition, so we really just buffed a little here and there to prepare for the ppf.

We did give the turn signals, lights, and side markers a good buffing detail before we send this car home with the owner smiling for miles.

Here’s an owner that loves their automobile! True one owner goodness. These automobiles are not easy to own and care for so it takes a special owner/driver to appreciate the 124. Now, it’s showroom and even museum ready. It’s great seeing a different automobile being detailed and that the owner expended the funds to have IAMD do the job…not inexpensive to have these services performed, but worth the “investment”.

Bellissima Auto ... Fiat 124 spider in collaborazione con Pininfarina ... questo dimostra di come si costruivano le auto negli anni 70, e che anche l' industria automobilistica italiana Fiat era in condizioni di costruzioni auto di tutto rispetto.
Comunque i ragazzi che hanno effettuato un lavoro di pulizia e ringiovanimento della 124 sono molto molto molto bravi e competenti.

Excellent work on a beautiful example . Rare to see one in such original condition. I liked the subtle upgrades too, aftermarket rear swaybar, drilled/slotted rotors, aluminum radiator, A.I.R. pump delete and those...Lancia?...wheels.👍

Loved the work Jake. I'd like to suggest IAD do every other video where the car is NOT a high-value super collectible.
This is a great example of some of the other cars like the old Alfa and BMW 2002 that were brought back from the dead.
