Hi from Russia, specifically from Lake Baikal. It's always a pleasure to watch videos like these, where people bring old, forgotten machinery back to life!

I felt this one! When people question why I'm working on something, my answer is "because it pleases me to do so!" No other reason is needed, and it's clear that this project speaks to you. Go for it! Very glad to see you got it as far as you did. I felt myself thinking the same things you were saying just before you said them!

I don’t care what anyone says when you take something that hasn’t run in years and fire it up that’s the stuff!!! I had a five years non running five ton wrecker in the military that the captain told me I had to have it running or wrote up as to why it needed to go to the next echelon maintenance! It was 45 minutes from quitting time. It was said that the fools in the missile unit used the fuel tank to clean paintbrushes, at that time it had a brand new motor in it! Twenty minutes later it was running so raggedly but wrote up for battalion maintenance to get! I been a repair person all my life! I’m very interested in seeing more on this truck as time goes on! This is why I watch you😊God bless and good luck 🍀

I’m just a 73yr old housewife with grown children who could tell you anytime something broke around the house, Mom fixed it. My brother did auto mechanic for a living, and I was always asking questions while I watched. I know I was getting on his nerves, but he was cool about it. I'm mesmerized, please do the restore if you are inclined to. I will definitely watch. Love all your videos!

Hafta say, this might be your best video yet! The delight, humor and ingenuity you show for these old school projects is really special. Thanks for putting it out there in the world for the rest of us to enjoy!

As someone who's restored a few smaller machines in my day, there's nothing in the world more amazing than that moment when you get it operational again, even if it's only partially doing what it's supposed to be doing. I would absolutely LOVE to see this beautiful old machine start up and hit the road again, so please, PLEASE consider making this a series of videos -- as long as it doesn't bankrupt you, that is...

I bought a crusty ‘57 that hadn’t ran in about 10 years… I grew up next door to the truck and HAD to have it. A freshly primed fuel filter, fresh batteries, knocking some rust off the compression release and it fired right up. Few things in life have made me that excited. And watching this video and FINALLY hearing that engine take off, felt like I relived it all over again. So cool! Thanks for buying the truck, whether you regret it or not, these old trucks have made LIVINGS for people, I hate to see them rot away and forgotten about.
