'Ask Lisa' - Answers to your Questions

Back in January I invited visitors to my website to post a question they'd like to ask me, the idea being i'd post series of video responses. Finally (work is hectic at the moment!), here is the first one. I've combined questions from the original post with ones I get daily and compiled a list of the most popular questions. Some subjects have proved so popular they now warrant a film all to themselves (how to become a make-up artist and under-eye bags shadows to name two!) so this is something I'll do. @yipyipitsme123 can you switch from foundation to tinted moisturiser? I find it's better for really dry skins as there is less pigment so it doesnt draw attention to dryness. Ask your Bobbi Brown salesperson if they can give you a sample (or take an empty pot) of their tinted balm for extra dry skin as I find it really excellent. Also go easy on the powder ... you may not need to use any? Let me know how you get on X

@deviousisland I wouldnt use brush guards whilst drying personally as it stops the air circulating which helps them to dry in a healthy way - trapped water equal bugs - but great for travelling to keep dry brushes clean and in shape x

Hi dear Lisa, your are the reason I love youtube, once in my life I had really hard time and doctor gave me strong depression tablet and I was so worried when I took those table because it had other side effect and that was time I found how to stop useing those tablet and spend my time with some thing make me feel good and watching your video was the one thing make me feel good about my self, maybe there's so many women out there that you make their day. Lisa could you please advise on how to cover pores. Pores on cheeks, forehead. I tend to put more foundation in those areas or more powder but that doesn't seem to do the trick or ad least after an hour pores already become visible. I have oily T zone and dryer cheeks. Perhaps curtain moisturizes, powder, primer or foundation don't work to cover pores?   Thank you

I love what you say about eyeshadow at around 5:30! So many people are focused on eyes color, but there are so many things that are beautiful and worth bringing out in a face. I think that you teach beautiful techniques and ways of applying makeup that look phenomenal. You are a true professional who has enhanced my take on cosmetics so much.

@eils211 I dont like to use them when brushes are drying, I think they slow the drying time down further and i much prefer to mould the brushes in to the shape I want them to be exactly. I like air to be able to circulate around brushes so they dry very naturally as quick as possible. I find guards hold moisture at the centre of the brushes longer ...which attracts bugs. I do like guards for travelling tho. Just my opinion x
