Doesn't work with me ; ( But here's something for Windows 10:
1. Open your app you want to record
2. Press on the keyboard "windows" button and letter G at the same time
3. (For the first time using) click that it is a game (It doesn't really matter if it is or not, just click it, there's no harm in that)

2 day later edit: Nevermind, this is just absolutely stupid! I’ve been trying to download this for 2 days straight and it’s not working. I don’t like writing big paragraphs so I’ll just explain what happened:

I downloaded OBS

It told me I needed to download other things in order for it to work

I downloaded them

I went back on it

It still says I’ve not downloaded them when I have!

I’ve downloaded it over 20 times and OBS just isn’t having it!!!

Is it broken or just old and no longer being updated?

Is there a solution for this??

for some reason my videos in my folder were acting weird and i didn't know hwy, but it was because my recording formet was m3u8 for some reason idk why.... my videos in my folder were acting weird because there was this what looked like a white piece of paper, and whenever i dragged the video onto my video editor, it would say "video format not supportable" soo
