The new Firefly 8 action camera comes with a special feature that enables WDR video recording, beside that it also has increased battery runtime by using an energy efficient chipset and a high voltage lithium pack. Other specifications include a 6 axis gyro EIS, Sony IMX117 image sensor, RAW photo capability, in-camera fisheye correction and WiFi connectivity.

Very good Review. Interesting this is Novatek NT96660 chipset not Amba A12S75 with Firefly 8S (90/170). Big problem with NT96660 is WDR with sky going white while panning up/down with dark foreground, or blue with white center, the dreaded "ghost blob". So Firefly 8 has corrected this? Look forward to next part for samples.

Have you compared it to the SJCAM SJ5000X Elite? The Firefly 8 seems to have all the features that I wanted in the SJ5000X Elite.

So is this a upgraded version or downgraded version of the original firefly 8s 90º or 170º ?

i have a problem with my FIREFLY 8S. i have some kind of delay on the video and some stutter and pixels appearing all over the videos. All the videos are taken with drone in the are also the camera was connected with my mobile devise.As for storage i have a 64 GB SanDisk Extreme Pro. Thanks for your time.
