If I’m spending over $65K on a Toyota product, it’s going to be on a GX, not this Landcruiser. More luxury, more comfort, more power, more torque, better on road driving dynamics, better off-road capabilities (overtrail models), and a more refined look would make getting a GX at this price point a no-brainer for me.

….and 3 reasons NOT to buy the new “Land Cruiser”:
1) It’s not the real Land Cruiser aka LC200/300 but a cheaper version..
2) Interior quality is bad
3) Departure angle is ridiculously 22 degrees..

I just test drove a First Edition Land Cruiser priced at 80K out the door. It is very nice...For $45, 000 😂

24 LC is a mistake. At 70k, I am getting a 24 GX. Your are wrong. Its not worth every penny. 24 LC with cloth seats should be around 45k and max out at 55k.

70k?!?! Scam. The old V8 was worth the 90k. 20k but it was a lot more exclusive and cool. This prado isn't going to do much more. I still like it though.

For a base 1958 LC, you get cheap hard plastic interior, rental car quality materials, MANUAL SEATS, sub par tech, unproven anemic 4 cylinder hybrid turbo, a hood prop (not struts), 1970s Cadillac floaty ride, and a after thought battery pack plopped down in the cargo area which looks 100x worse in person ..Toyota should be ashamed for offering a $45k vehicle with a $15k “Land Cruiser” badge…. Don’t believe me? Go take a test drive and report back…. Toyota is now the Hyundai of the 1980s..

Stop comparing it to “ previous Land Cruiser” this is a 4 cyl Prado which was already available in other markets. The LC300 Land Cruiser is different which is the successor to the 200 series this is not the successor

The 40, 60, 80, 100 have proven there worth as global machines. The 200 is the doorsteps as well. The 1st edition of 250 or whatever it’s called will have to get in line and wait what shakes out.

Previous generations Land Cruiser is not the same as this. This is just the new Land Cruiser Prado and Not Land Cruiser 300 in the global market. Please dont mislead your audience. The 2023 GX 460 with an v8 is much cheaper than this. I see no reason to spend this kind of money for a Prado. I’d rather go with the current generation 4 runner.

NO The better option is the GX w/ V8 power all day!
The bigger LX if you want but the smaller GX V8 is the fancy version of the worlds most popular Toyota … the Land Cruiser!
So NO WAY we pay that kind of money for these New little 6 or 4 bangers forced by the turbos which will NEVER go the distance & have the reliability of the V8’s.
