A great, fun video! I found this channel last year and use the videos here on occasion when i need help in a class. However, I'd like to say that this video was sufficently interesting/well-done that I clicked and watched it through with no other reason than curiosity and entertainment. This is a wonderful channel that I'd gladly recomend to a friend struggling in math.

If you define the 3 numbers as (x-2), x, (x+2) you see immediately that 3 times x is the sum. And so x is the sum divided by 3. This works by the way with every sum. Just divide by 3 and take one even number lower and one higher

Here's a simplified version I call plus and minus.
72÷3=24
24 24 24
-2 +2
22 24 26

You can also use it subtracting more from one side and adding it to the other. This works with any odd integer, Idk about even numbers I'm too lazy to try.😂

quesstion: does that formula (x)+(x+2)+(x+4) work for any sum or only the sum of 72???

I dont understand how this is useful because if you try to solve for n, and the number was 73 instead of 72, you would get a non-integral number. This seems to only work if the sum of the digits of the number is divisble by the number of sequence iterations you are trying to solve for.... eg. 72 -> 7 + 2 = 9 and 9 is divisble by 3.

But I havent tested this. Where can I find more infor about this odd model?
