Particles from Outer Space Help Discover Mysterious Emptiness in the Great Pyramid of Giza

The researchers made the discovery using high-tech devices that are normally used only for experiments in particle physics. (This is the study of particles smaller than atoms.) The detectors looked for particles flowing from outer space through the thick stone of the ancient structure. This search revealed a previously unknown empty space, or empty. This unknown chamber is the first large structure discovered within the Great Pyramid approximately 4,500 years ago since the 19th century.
