Scooter Kid Is Put in Charge of $3800 | Teenage Boss Australia

Hosted by Australia's star mathematics teacher, Eddie Woo, follow 15 teenagers from across Australia, as they take charge of the family budget.

Host and buoyant mathematician Eddie Woo challenges 13 year old Vasanth to budget frugally for his mother Sathya, dad Shan and bigger brothers Ananth & Jayanh. For the next month the youngest in this Indian-Australian family is in charge of the decisions and $3850 in cold, hard cash.
But with great power comes great responsibility. All Vasanth wants to do is upgrade his scooter. If he had his way there were be scooter parks every 2 km and no more cars. Sounds good to me.
If he is to get that scooter upgrade he will have to save some costs, but will it mean fewer family take-aways, less money on entertainment & outings and cuts to the groceries?

The big question: is there enough left in the case to upgrade that scooter?

First of all, AWESOME family. What a cool kid. Excellent episode. Soooo cute how he wanted to upgrade his scooter to make it safer. Also, he melts for his mom. Then he wanted braces. We must commend his mom and dad too. 💕👌🏼 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I think this young man came up with a good plan. Very balanced and he knew the difference between needs and wants for his family. Very cute too.

Aw man. My heart. What a sweet boy. When I first saw him in the beginning I'll admit I had a tear in my eye because he looks just like my cousin brother who passed away when we were kids❤️ well done on the budget kid and great family!

I think it's funny that the child thinks that the ENTIRE family must suffer for his scooter brakes. Im wondering how he would feel if the rolls were reversed?? I do believe that this should be a 2 month experience so the following month HE would have to suffer the entire month for 1 of his brothers!

I feel sad for him having to grow up in poverty.
