The 2003 Peter Pan is still the best movie

So no one is going to address that slap to Peter Pan from Wendy, like that's ok to hit someone from anger. So now little girls that watch this will now think its ok to put your hands on someone just because your angry.

There’s nothing wrong with criticizing the movie bro. Stop wiping Disney’s ass

its a bad remake, cheap changes cause current year, toning down everything, Wendy one step away from sue levels, the lost boys being completely meaningless a phrase now, Peter pan a joke in his own movie, same to Hook who's just sad cause mom issues, it is indeed a soulless cashgrab
don't let you kids watch it, just watch the classic one, its fine

Im gunna say my favorite was Cinderella (2015). It was so much better than it had any business being and had a ton of heart

The Jungle Book (2016) is still my favorite remake.

Jungle Book was far and away the best live action Disney remake I’ve seen so far.

The worst character in the movie was Peter Pan. And when the movie is titled Peter Pan, that's a problem. The kid couldn't act and his fight scenes were terrible. They also didn't give him a whole lot to do.

The interaction between Peter Pan and Hook, and Wendy and Hook was fun and heartfelt.

I really hate to trash a child actor but it must be said. The Peter Pan actor was not good. It became very apparent when Jude Law was acting his butt off and the kid was so wooden in their scenes together. This movie wasnt awful but it could’ve been so much better

Peter Pan is the most uninteresting character in this film. As the title character that is a problem. It felt like they couldn’t make Peter Pan too remarkable because they wanted to artificially prop up Wendy to be this modern day girl boss. I cringe every time I hear lines like Wendy saying “This magic belongs to no boy!” and then proceeds to be a better Peter Pan.

Then the lost boys becoming lost boys and girls. The lore behind the lost boys is that girls were too smart to be lost and more mature then the boys at that age. There were many other places to get female representation in this story without destroying the lore.

Also I am not one of these people that are against race swapping characters. Samuel L Jackson is the perfect Nick Fury. The Valarians being race swapped to a black family actually made the story better in House of the Dragon. However I think some characters are just too big and too ingrained into the culture to be race swapped. Tinkerbell is one of the faces of the Disney brand. There is millions of merchandise out there with her face on it looking one particular way. Race swapping her and totally changing her look causes viewers to get pulled out of the immersion of the story. I remember watching Hook for the first time and hating that Tinkerbell’s hair was red. If these stories are for little kids then why change the characters they know and love so well? People unanimously think Hook was the best character in this film for a reason. It seems more and more like these stories want to inject identity politics and virtue signal to adults instead of just making the best story they can.

This movie was a woke version of a classic. Peter isn't even the hero.

I agree! The Jungle Book is also my favorite!

I have no problem with remaking some of these older films like The Jungle Book and Peter Pan that really could use some updates. Pinocchio was just awful but very interested in what QuestLove does with Aristocats. I actually really like the Lady and the Tramp live-action remake.

Didn’t know Jude Law was Hook. He was the best actor in the movie. I loved all his lines. Favorite line is “I don’t have any happy thoughts.” 😢

No wonder this didn't hit theaters, this was just bad. Its color was sucked out and all that was left was a husk. The kid actors needed more training cause they were so wooden. Jude was wasted here

The Beauty and The Beast remake was my favorite Disney remake but I did love The Jungle Book remake as well.

I am a big Peter Pan fan of the unanimated version but this for me was horrible. And will not watch it again nor would it be a movie suggeston. The only thing that I like about the movie is the back story on why there is such hatred between Hook and Peter Pan and there are racial inclusiveness (bad part is the actor that were picked). This movie tried too hard on the political correctness and girl power it just lost the whole magic behind this original story of Peter love for Wendy and which kept him coming back for her again and again. This does not come close to the 2003 non-Disney version directed by Hogan (I have watched so many times and that just in April) with Peter Pan (Jeremy Sumpter) and Wendy (Rachel Hurd-Wood) and Tinker Bell (Ludivine Sagnier) and Hook/father (Jason Isaacs). I am dissapointed that Disney is so much into putting celebrity in the roles that not ment for them (like Tom Hank in Pinocchio). Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
