Royal Enfield Shotgun 650! In this video, we take a close look at the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, a bike that's designed with customisation in mind.

Tegan, Lukas and Ross explore the Shotgun 650's features, 650cc parallel twin engine, Showa suspension, the overall ride experience and it's modern (for Royal Enfield ) design elements, this bike is a true standout in the mid-size cruiser segment.

The Shotgun 650 is built to be a canvas for your creativity. Whether you're into retro styling, modern upgrades, or performance enhancements, this bike is made for you to make it your own.

In the final segment, each of our reviewers shares their personal customisation plans if they were to own the Shotgun 650. From unique paint jobs to custom exhausts and in Tegan's case, one very essential mod for riding in winter, you'll get plenty of ideas and inspiration for making this bike truly yours.

Nothing wrong with heated grips and seats. Much more sensible mods than exhaust and indicators.
I cannot understand why they did not use the same dash as what is found on the Himalayan. Especially as this bike would most likely be aimed at a younger rider.

I agree with your comment on the speedometer. The TFT should be offered as an option.

Royal Enfield are kicking huge goals and showing the 'mainstream' brands how to produce something people want. I would like to see them produce and open class version of the 650cc motor. Say up up around 70 to 75 HP and 60nm or more of torque. That would put them on closer footing with the big 4 brands. They have chosen to lock themselves into the LAMs market when they have an engine clearly capable of being open class and are for some reason excluding a massive potential customer base.

I want to know if it's possible to get a rearset on there. Love the general shape and style of the bike, not sold on cruiser riding. I'd prefer to have at least a neutral riding position, preferably more aggressive, so I'd swap those bars out for something lower. I'd also minimize the rear lights, take off the rear seat (But leave the frame there for handling) and trim the rear mudguard. As for performance, I'd start slow with a high flow kit, a flash, and a pair of sc project cans slung low. Finally I'd figure out how to fit a turbo in there. It won't be a peaky, high spool time turbo, just something small and stealthy to give a bit of grunt to the bike.

I think the Shot Gun in really nice. Except for RE's insistents on putting stupid silencers on all their 650s.
Why can't they put a low slung 2 into 1 with a tucked in horizontal silencer like on the 350 Classic/Meteor.
Give it a beautiful maroon paint job and it would hark back to my 59 Redich 700 Super Meteor.
Check out the Maroon Meteor on Fuzzy Biker. Absolutely stunning.
Gr8 threesome review BTW.

I just want ask I am an experienced rider from India but lives in UK and looking forward to get my full bike licence in 2 months as I could use the direct access option. I used to ride Royal enfield classic 350 and 500, Thunderbird back home. I am looking forward to buy a motorbike here in UK and confused about shotgun 650 or go for bit more powerful one as used Triumph speed triple 1050. Please comment
Thank you

This is on my radar as next bike, may be end of 2025.
Not sure why the gap between rear fender and wheel is so obvious and wide? - putting me off at times.
Any suggestions or should I wait for next upgrade?

How tall is Lucas? I'm thinking about testriding the Shotgun, but with me being 6"5' it's always a bit of an issue.

I just think it's weird that a bike designed to be customized comes in so few interesting colours. This in the Classic 350 army green and I'm sold.
