FULL: Comelec Vice Presidential Debate 2022 | ANC

Rundown: The Commission on Elections held the second of its series of election debates, this time giving a venue to candidates running for the country’s second highest office. 

The “#PilipinasDebates2022: The Turning Point – The Vice Presidential Debate” held at Sofitel Tent in Pasay City on March 20, 2022 was attended by 7 out of 9 vice presidential candidates.

Walden Bello, Partido Lakas ng Masa; 
Rizalito David, Democratic Party of the Philippines; 
Manny SD Lopez, Workers and Peasants' Party; 
Dr. Willie Ong, Aksyon Demokratiko; 
Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, Liberal Party; 
Carlos Serapio, Katipunan ng Kamalayang Kayumanggi - Katipunan Party (KTPNAN)
Vicente "Tito" Sotto III, Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC)
The debate focused on the role of the Vice President as mandated by the Constitution, other significant issues like the country’s COVID-19 response, increasing oil prices and policy recommendations if they win the election.

Davao City Sara Duterte of Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats (LAKAS) and Buhay Partylist Rep. Lito Atienza failed to attend the Comelec organized debate.

Another Comelec debate for the vice presidential candidates, which will have a town hall format, will be held on April 23.

BBM and Sarah always have alibis to evade these debates while these courageous men showed up and presented themselves for the people with their plans for the nation.

Poor gullible fanatics of BBM and Sarah. If they really have plans, they won't be afraid to show up and lay their platform in details while their ideas are being challenged. Popularity does nothing to improve the economy and alleviate poverty in the country. Think twice before voting for BBM and Sarah.

I'm amazed. Many good points on this one. I am particularly surprised with Mr. David, Mr Bello(though don't agree with some of his admission) and Senator Sotto. This is how men are originally designed with convictions, with clear visions, with much wisdom, with courage to speak up and leaders in many fields. God bless all who attended. I hope who ever wins will take note of all the good points here. This was a fruitful debate.😁

The biggest question for Sen. Kiko, he claims to be pro local farmers and yet he abstained from the rice tarification law instead of opposing it. Why?
