Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke on being New Zealand's youngest MP

You might recognise Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke from viral videos of her powerful speech in New Zealand’s Parliament.

The 21-year-old has become New Zealand’s youngest lawmaker in 170 years.

Videos of the MP performing the haka in her maiden speech in December 2023 have gone viral across social media.
