Luckily I don't have any friends in serious danger in a foreign country right now, but that doesn't necessarily mean I wouldn't want to use Tor. We are all being spied on in one way or another right.

The Tor network is not perfect. If someone is able to control all the nodes you use they can get your IP, there is also timing attacks that can be used to try to get it to.
