instead of going through the hassle of changing permissions directly run notepad as administrator and open the hosts file. Saving will not be a problem also

I had a pretty bad time because I need to program 864 porn sites to this host to block it, so I needed to use Notepad++ for column editing and you know, those programmers things. But it is worth it. Blessings.
