MashAllah great nugget. i wonder if imam you or paul williams himself can comment on the book Restating Orientalism: A Critique of Modern Knowledge by Hallaq which has been recommended - is this something beneficiall to read ??? (Paul recommends a lot of books but i can't get through books like him)

I have listened to JP in the past, the topics and issues which were related to the western world he was very concerned and sincere about it. But when it comes to Islam and Muslims though he has attempted to understand the religion, there was something he was holding back. In
his “message to Muslims”video, his body language was off. Though I strongly agree that people of Abrahamic faith and other religions should unite to fight the war on family, moral and ethical values. The way it was put forward did not resonate.

"academic discussions amongst ourselves" - that will be done, but allah himself will send them fully kitted in armaments to take you in bondage when you do not do as allah has commanded you as per Quran 47:38. Be merciful and dhikr mercy otherwise Allah will send shayateen from the moon on you as per quran 43:36.
