I thought that the model was a photograph and freaked out when I saw him blink! No seriously, I have decided that blocking out the large shapes first is the way to go for me. Thank you for the lesson.

Hello Cuong...I participated in a 3-day workshop with you at IAPS 2017...it was a fantastic workshop! Thank you! I just viewed your latest video: Blocking-In a Portrait in 3/4 View...and it is AMAZING!! When I view it, I feel as though I am back in the workshop with you! The turning point for me...is the speaking that you give to the video. You sound very relaxed and everything you say is perfect! The videos with subtitles are well done also...but this one is much richer because of what you say as you work. Many thanks...I shall be exploring your Patreon page! :)

Hey Cuong Nguyen.
To be honest, many years I was a but sceptical about this measuring technique, because I've thought it's not gonna work for me. But now even I'm just trying to do it in my head, it's really working cause you still can a bit move these lines of top and the bottom of the face.
I thought it has to be exactly same weight but I was so stupid :D cause these lines are just a base of the face. Now, I'm a lot wiser and more understanding. Thank you so much. Love your work. I'm proud!!!

Dear Cuong Nguyen, Thank you for a most wonderful demonstration using the traditional method. I personally find, after many years of errors, it is better for me to Not put in the centre line at all, or at least, After I am convinced the outside shape is correct. Once this is found, the features will naturally fall into place. Every success to you.
