Hard work is important for being successful but having a strategy is much more important. Many people work very hard in a minimum wage job and never improve their situation.

Since becoming self employed I now earn the same money as I did in my old job except that I now only work on average 15hrs a week instead of 60hrs/week.

Sorry Mindvalley, but I don´t buy this. I am an entrepreneur who has built a successful marketing business and the truth is that it is BOTH about working SMART + HARD.
People saying that you don´t need to work hard in order to succeed are only trying to sell you their "online courses" with their "secret formula" since the easy-path is always easier to sell.
The truth is that you need a srategy + a team to get leverage (work smart), but you also need to work hard to expand yourself and your business every single day in order to thrive in your market. On the other hand, leading by EXAMPLE is the only way to build a loyal team, so if you don´t work hard don´t ever expect them to do it for you.
If you don´t work hard to increase your business´ impact in your marketplace, your competitors will and in the long-term they will beat you.

If someone believes that working hard is essential to success, he will probably succeed only by working hard! If someone has a more versatile view, then they include more choices in their future possibilities. Our mindsetting becomes our reality! Those who have succeed by working hard, say only what they know according to their experience, which might be true but this true works just for them! Not the same things apply to all!

Hard work only exist in the beginning of a new project, skill, or task. Once it's a habit, it becomes easy. Momentum

Passion. Joy . Excitement - if you love what you do, things feel easy. Law of Attraction, not Law of Assertion.

Strategy must be always smart and work must be always hard.

This 4 levels of consciousness thing reminds me of the didactic theory that there are 4 levels of mastery.
#1 Unconscious incompetence : you don't are messing up, and you aren't thinking about WHAT you are messing up.
#2 Conscious Incompetence: you know THAT you are messing up and you are conscious of the steps that you need to be making to succeed.
#3 Conscious Competence: you are getting things done, but only because you are thinking and working hard through your process.
#4 Unconscious Competence (or Mastery): You have got your process down, and you don't bother thinking much about what you are doing anymore.
I'd also theorise that there is a #5: that you have mastered your process and you can analyse it and convey it to others.
If you have optimised your thoughts and you are doing less work to tackle things because you have experience, then you have more energy free for developing new ideas and relationships.. but you need to have the personal/emotional resources to get to that level of mastery, so you need the freedom to choose the people that you want to have in your space. (You can see that there might be barriers to achievement there.)

In some jobs, no matter how hard you work, you will always stay in the same level, same place, same position and with the same salary.

O agree. Surrender is all. The first step (maybe the hardest) is to break blockage - self sabotage. Thank you!

in my country (the philippines), this is very applicable. The poor works harder than most people, there are tricycle (a mode of transpo) drivers and jeepney drivers that work hard and the farmers who work for so little pay, they get less than 1 dollar pay for a day. They work harder than most people, yet they are poor. Why you ask? it's because of them being deprived of opportunities. it's not their fault that they're poor, they work hard, it just doesn't pay off enough. So yeah, hard work doesn't always mean success

Yup! Working hard is very dumb.. Achieving success comes from within, your inner joy and happiness. 👌🏼

Great video, I don’t claim to know all the answers about how much or how many hours a person should work either of their own personal business or for someone else, but I know for an absolute fact that if you run yourself in the ground by lack of sleep, not taking care of yourself spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally that’s a bad idea, you can crash and burn real fast. You can collapse, And be hospitalized for mental and physical exhaustion and even become psychotic

Right on! I have accomplished great success at work, and I am not the hardest working guy on the block. I have been teaching this idea for several years now, and I've found that some people get it, some people don't. Thanks for the great vid!

I’m working really hard. I’m almost consistently in flow, because I love what I do, but I understand your point! Doing less, achieving more💪🏻

Success is like a recipie and hard wowk is one of the most important ingredients to prepare it. Obviously, very many other qualities r required to become a success. It appears that if u want to become famous or want to be noticed then u attack any old institution or belief. This appears to be the case here. A writer or a speaker has to bring something new so that people read or listen to them. Anyone who has seen more downs than ups in life knows that LUCK is also a defining and vital factor for success.
