NEW ex Battle Decks! Also, NEW Trainer's Toolkit! (Pokemon TCG News)

October 18th will be a big day for the Pokemon Trading Card Game as a bunch of new products hit store shelves, including two new ex Battle Decks and the long-awaited 2024 edition of the Trainer's Toolkit!

Around the 8-minute mark I forgot to change the price on the 2nd ex Battle Deck slide. The decks are $9.99 each as shown on the 1st slide snd not $34.99 as shown on the 2nd.

Honestly that Iron Leaves ex deck isn't a bad idea. I like the energy ramp idea where you evolve into Vileplume and attach any energy from the top 8 cards to ramp Iron Leaves. And then you just rotate to energy swap. Obviously not meta, but still fun. Like you're teaching someone new and you show them the power of rare candy

What I love about these new ex Battle Decks is the cover card don't seem to be Promos. So I can skip them and go for a full promo set

It seems really weird to me that they haven't released alternate art ACE SPEC cards in tins or collection boxes or anything. Prime Catcher, Unfair Stamp, and Hyper Aroma would make for a pretty nice trio of tins, and would also lower the price of Prime Catcher quite a bit.

As it stands a deck that would be a $40 deck becomes a $60 deck because of Prime Catcher

I just got into the game and I’ve been building decks but my biggest problem is buying bulk staples since where I live I find most sites I can order from only have a few of the cards I need so I need to order from multiple sites which ends up getting expensive with shipping so this will be nice to pick up a bunch of these for staples

May have missed it in the video but do we have dates? Especially for trainers toolkit. I don’t have to much money to spent on cards and it seems to be a great product. I’m relatively new to competitive, and can’t bring myself to spent a bunch of money on shipping for singles and packs.

Would you be able to slap Iron Leaves into Meowscarada EX? I think Iron Leaves could be a good attacker, as Meowscarada does require so, e setup to be able to deal big damage.
