I had to play on my knees under a tree last round I played I hit a worm burner just short of the green I made bogey but that’s good for me

Imagine taking that long for 2 shots at your local club with 4somes stacking up behind you.

Consummate nerve and talent. Pars like that are tastier than birdies...

I’m not clear. Was this a par 5? Surely behind the tree he took a drop?

Why are Matt AND his caddy wearing metal spikes?

I take it he got a free drop if he made a par ?

Wow, seemed to get a drop a long way from the path, considering he took his 1st relief stance fairly close to the path, not to mention 3ft back from we’re his ball was on the path.He plays his shot a good 8ft or more away from the path, he must be using long clubs to get that relief.

That was the luckiest, most bs call I've ever seen for a player getting relief from the cart path. Not even in an amateur hackers Thursday group at the local public course are your buddies going to give you that drop. Not only was he lucky to get relief from a path that didn't impede his stance, he got to move it from behind a big ass tree. Finally, since his drops rolled out of the drop area, he gets to essentially play the ball "up", ensuring he got a nice fluffy lie away from a tree that doesn't interfere with ANY aspect of his wedge shot. That shot was good, but it was not a tough shot from that plush lie with no tree to even think about. It all made me vomit a bit.

I don't understand that he didn't get a free relief from an immovable obstruction....
