BIG thanks to you for this video. I have a laptop that is HP Pavilion 17-G124DS but there is no video how to disassemble the mother board so I could upgrade the ram. Your laptop model looked the same as mine from the back and you showed me with your video where all the hidden screws where. Well after watching this video I was able to open the back cover and successfully upgraded my memory and more importantly I was able to put it back and the laptop works. Many many thanks. Thank you for the detailed video! Successfully re-did cpu heat sink, cleaned fan and vents and replaced button battery and the spinning disks with a ssd. Should be good for another 6 years! Your instructions were very helpful!

Thank you thank you so much you save me a $130 dollar which I do not have my computer was coming up error message 90b which is the cpu fan. I called around and every one wanted to charge me at least a 100 bucks and I do not have that after watching your video which this was the same laptop as mine I followed your instructions and replace the fan now my computer works just fine again thank you

As for the screw removal. Take a manila file folder and draw the outline of the computer on it. Then take a pen or pencil and draw and designs of the cover, then put a dot where ever screw is located inside the drawing...then take the tip of a sharp pocket knife and puncture the cardboard on top of the dot...now, when you remove the screw, push it into the slit of the dot. It will hold tightly in place and you won't loose or get them mixed up and you can move the folder wherever you want after removal and they hold in place. They will go back into the same hole they came out of during replacement...it works. I used the bottom of a cardboard box and drew the outline of the top of my engine and replaced the head on Jeep 4.0 engine...works perfectly for different things...push rods and bolts went back into same holes they came out of. Learned this technique many years ago. It works every time.

At 33:23, you mention that you are wearing an anti-static strap on your ankle.

1. Why do you wear it on your ankle?
2. How high is the likelihood of shorting out components such as the motherboard by touching them assuming you have done so not wearing an anti-static strap but never felt a static shock while doing so?

1:08:19 You will note that the Hard Drive ribbon was not connected there was also a problem with the USB LAN Card Reader Board DAX21ATB6D0 it too was BAD! Dam!!! This is why I say never have liquid drinks near your Laptops, PC's or Game Systems Thay kill Electronics in the blink of an eye!!! Stay Safe and happy gaming everyone.
