I’ve been looking all over for solutions, every time I open up bg3, it loads me into the title screen but I can’t even actually play the game at all. It was working fine until a few days ago it just stopped working and kept crashing. I’ve already done so many tutorials and nothing has worked 😔

Something that helped with amd graphics card is using DirectX 11, with even I lose some performance, I didnt have crashing or even problems with chaging the graphics settings

It takes me 15 minutes to open the launcher and then the game runs like crap. The first couple of days it worked fine, but then it started shutting the whole computer down.

I cant plasy the game after the latest driver update for Radeon RX XT (23.9.3) what happens is that the game takes me to the title screen but it's blck with the exception of the ingame cursor.
The sounds in the background a running as normal but when I try to press any key nothing happens until i press a mouse button which proceeds to the game not responding. At this point I can shut down the game but for some reason it doesnt trigger the crash report tool and the game is some how still considered running. I cant restart the game via the short cut or through Larians page. Nor can I run it through steam since it considers the game running and if I try to stop the game in steam it will perpetually ''stopping'' the game without success. This basically makes even an atempt at running the game impossible without restarting the computer. After restart the process repeats. I've tried to reinstalling drivers and even tried to revert back to an older version which was not a option for some reason. I have tried a bunch of the tips aswell and still no change. All my troubles started with the recent driver update, the former update gave me no issue.

for me the launcher was crashing, by running the launcher in admin mode I was able to progress further but so far have not been able to actually play

C++ fix worked a treat particularly after recent patch most likely F'd things up

After the new update only a small portion of the screen is displayed now. Anyone know how to fix the resolution size at game startup?

Wouldnt launch at all found out it was the visual c++ with the new nivida driver causing problem so replacing the visual c++ fixed the problem
