Austin Police chief responds to weekend protest against police violence

Desk duty is NOT JUSTICE for excessive force.

Fired is NOT JUSTICE for homicide.

Tearing up is a good start... I believe he's a person now. But no real apology, no recognition of the brutality so endemic in his force that his officers just couldn't help shooting unarmed peaceful protestors in the head on camera?
And no real acceptance of responsibility. And instead... vaguely questioning the motives of the protests at the end? W.T.F
