50% is 20% probably because Tasmota thinks it is controlling a light with brightness. It compensates for the way we perceive light (gamma correction). You can turn this off by issuing the LedTable 0 command.

I have several honeycomb shades 3x7.5 ft with pull strings.
Just wonder if any of these motors would be strong enough and have enough space on the takeout wheel to hold that much cord when pulling up the shade?

Is there a good solution for cord blinds, as is a fabric style cord. Our blinds are that type but in 2 separate strings, 1 to open, 1 to close. These could essentially be tied together though.

Is there an update on this video? Not sure if newer versions are on the market now. Looking for latest automated wandless blind tilt options. Great vids!!

At 07:49 you showed your curtains with the plug in type motor . Which track rails did you use to hook up the curtain rings . I have a similar setup and need some recommendations .

Thank you !

Pulled the trigger on the battery operated version and I’m quite pleased. Just a word of caution for anyone that buys one now. I spun my wheels a bit trying to pair the wifi adapter but it’s not necessary. Just add to tuya and you’re done. I guess it’s pre-paired now.

Are there any options for blinds with a 'rotating stick' to change the angle of the blinds?

Are the motors strong enough to raise and lower a roller shade?
How long would you say the batteries should last?

I've been keeping an eye on automated motors for blinds and I've yet to see a demonstration that actually raises or lowers the blinds. You've only shown them changing pitch of the shades. I've got cellular shades that do top down and bottom up. It'd be nice to be able to have one that can handle that in one device.

Wondering if there is a solution for curtain rope without these bullets? Thanks!

What if your blinds has a normal string without the "bullets"?

Wow, I did NOT know you could flash Tasmota to that dongle. I have one of these lying around that I've been meaning to put in my office, this changes everything

does it need a beaded line? Or can I use it was a continuous rope pully?

Thanks, Rob, great video as usual! Literally was just ordering my blind today for my home office redec, have now ordered the AM43 (£41) and an ESP32 NodeMCU, like 'tinkering' and your video makes it look fairly straight forward!! Cheers!

Hello, thanks for the video. But one thing I need to know if the motor is strong enough to open blinds completely? I mean like fully up not only rotating blinds. Thanks for answer.

Great video, have subscribed! How do you get it to work with curtains?

Tasmota does have a proper blinds mode, I have tried it and it does work but it is a pain on the ass to get working properly. it does, however, let you define the midpoint if it doesn't line up properly.

6:00 3D Printer FTW.

The upper/lower limits should be the full travel not just the open "midpoint". At least for how we use blinds.

You're Amazing! This video have so many effort in it, there's content for two or three videos recapitulated in just one.
You should make a updated tutorial for the AM43 BT adapter step by step, take it for granted that I will buy myself an esp32 I really need to try that!
this is the video i have seen about blind's motors, Great video.

Ive been trying to think through the options to replace my blinds so I can sleep. Two weeks now, its incredible this is so complicated for something so simple.
