Why do people chant "Ram Naam Satya Hai" when carrying a dead body to the cremation ground? Ram Naam Satya Hai" means "The name of Lord Rama is the truth." This chant reminds us that everything in the world is temporary, except for God. It is also believed that chanting "Ram Naam Satya Hai" can help the soul of the deceased to be liberated from the cycle of birth and death and attain moksha. Additionally, this chant can help people to deal with the sadness of losing a loved one by reminding them of the divine and the temporary nature of all things.
