Choi Soon-sil apologizes for confusion she made but denied most allegations

Members of a bipartisan parliamentary committee investigating the massive corruption and influence-peddling scandal met today with the woman at the heart of their probe, Choi Soon-sil,... at the Seoul Detention Center.
The session was held behind closed doors for two and half hours,... and only eight of the 18 panel members were allowed in.
During the meeting, Choi apologized for the confusion she caused to the nation... but denied most of the allegations against her.
Her lawyer says the session violates the court's previous ruling that Choi is not allowed to see anyone but him until mid-January.
The committee said in response... that it is executing the official duties of parliament... and is therefore not in violation of the law.
Meanwhile, other panel members held a similar closed-door session at another detention center with former senior presidential secretaries Jeong Ho-sung and Ahn Jong-beom.
Jeong acknowledged that he regularly sent official documents to Choi Soon-sil for her final touches,.. and Ahn said he just followed President Park's instructions... when it comes to allegations that two government-linked foundations forced big corporations to pay money.
