Casio RZ-1 House

Sampled some chords from FM8 into the RZ-1 and built this around it. The 505 is triggering the Casio since you always get a metronome beep when you tap write on the Casio itself. Also using a Boss CE-5 chorus pedal and a Hall of Fame reverb. Video recorded off a little JVC VHS camcorder.

You really achieved a nice vibe here. I think that hall of fame reverb works perfectly. How did you use the 4 sample slots? I can hear 2 chords and maybe a short subbass sample?

Is that the TR505 kick, though? I was curious too, so why do you have to use the tr505 to trigger the Casio z1, if you’re not step writing?

Hello! How you find the sequencer of the tr-505?
I'am myself sequencing my RZ-1 by writing midi notes on ableton sequencer but I find it too rigid, even when playing with groove pool…
The RZ-1 sequencer is way more groovy… but as you said, complicated to write a full song on it.
