If you're receiving reference errors for tvAge & inputYear, here's the fix:

1) Under "Gradle Scripts" open your build.gradle and add id 'kotlin-android-extensions'.
2) Be sure to sync prior to moving on to next step (an option to do so will appear).
3) Go back to your MainActivity.kt file, and import
4) Re-run the application.

my God thanks, i was trying to find a way to get a number that came from the input but was using it (value.text.toString) but now i found it in this video (value.text.toString.toInt) thanks my friend i was already here hours and I got to char that I couldn't.
