I love to play “spot concealed gun” when in public. I live in Phoenix so carry is pretty common. It’s a great mental exercise while waiting for my wife to try on her 100th pair of identical pants in the mall.

I use to do the security feel or pat of the weapon when i wore the gun at 4 oclock. Once I switched to appendix carry I literally never pat the weapon anymore. It feels much more secure in the appendix position.

The security feel is also done when the wearer is startled. A National Guardsmen and I were talking during a disaster response and he related how his team had detected concealed wearers because they patted their weapons when one of the Guardsmen whistled loudly to get everyone’s attention.

I often see concealed carry people come in the store I work at. Always makes me slightly nervous because I do not know if it's a law abiding gun owner who just wants to protect his or herself (which I totally respect) or someone with ill intent. But never the less when the day comes that I finally own a gun, I am going to keep these things in mind so as to not do them as much.

Touching the weapon and walking strange are two of the biggest giveaways. Be it a firearm or knife they are concealing.

Thesee are all things i never noticed until I started carrying myself. Now there are wack job overzealous anti gun people trying to tackle every day legally carrying citizens, just because the notice a ccw. I try not to be too obvious, and we believe in on body carry vs in a purse so it cant get left anywhere unsecured. Makes summer carry a bit tricky:0)

I loved my safari vest when I was a track photographer back in the nineties. Held film, batteries and spare lenses. Totally functional. Still have it hanging in my closet with my heavy early issue body armor.

I keep seeing young men Carrington medium to large frame auto pistol in right back pocket. I was watching a older man with a diabetic test meter pouch, I did not know him who showed me his gun a .25 . Where are all these people coming from. I carry concealed everyday and I try to be as greyman as possible.

I've trained myself to adjust my gun when I stand up after sitting with my forearm/elbow. I carry appendix so it doesn't look as suspicious when I fix my shirt in the front though, there are two things right there that I don't want hanging out hahaha

These are all rookie carrier mistakes. The key is to not be noticed. I enjoy watching these videos because it helps not being noticed. I carry a full-size .45, no one ever notices

I drink with whatever hand is free/closest to the drink... And if I drink from a bottle I use my dominant (right)... Because I unscrew with my left and tighten with my right hand :D But other than that the drink sits there were the most space is... Except eating at tables. Always on the right because this is kind of a general rule.

also where they keep their phone, wallet and etc. I always switch my wallet to the opposite side of my firearm form when I'm not carrying in case I have an encounter with law enforcement

Move the cobra buckle over to the side when you carry an appendix sidecar. It’s a whole game changer.
