Micro Jigging is AWESOME | 17 Different Species | Slow Pitch Jigging | Offshore Fishing

Head offshore fishing with Johnny, Pete, and Jose on a micro jigging adventure. The guys pack up the light gear and jigs ranging from 20g-100g in search of whatever will bite. Micro Jigging is similar to slow pitch jigging but scaled way down. This style of fishing will open up a new world of offshore angling in shallow depths. For the guys in the gulf that don’t want to run long distances offshore fishing but still want to drop a jig, micro jigging is be the answer. It is action fishing at its finest and can produce quality fish of the table fare variety.

*Bought a 500 for an ultralight rod. It's very smooth **enjoyable.fishing** recommend casts great. One odd thing- the bale wire is a bit heavy diameter in my opinion for a reel of this size. But a great purchase.*

Yellowjack are good in raw / rare preparations: ceviche, sashimi or seared with raw / rare center.

No chum bag, no catching bait. One of the best things about jig fishing. You can go so spur of the moment.

Wanted to let you guys know how much I have been studying what you have been showing us. I finally got out of tampa bay for some grouper fishing. Using your jigs and pole I found it amazing how many fish I caught. Every drop I bagged at least one grouper. Thank you for all the tips, spj is the way to go!

Love you guys. Been jigging for years and decided to put together UL slow spin setup, 4000 reel, 20lb braid and getting down to 42g jigs, F*ing soo much fun on reef edge snappers getting rods maxed out with occasional beasts inhaling. Thanks for the great informative content.

Caught a yellow jack on live bait, yes it is delicious. I was in Costa Rica and my Tico friend took it home and made a delicious soup, the meat was excellent. Maybe next time on the jig.

Super fun video guys. I’m micro jigging quite a bit here in Alaska. For salmon! Find a bait ball and jig around it. Caught a 24lbs king salmon on a 2oz orange saltiga with single assist hook on the top. Loads of fun.

Have eaten a few Yellow Jack - they are nice, firm meat. Great for barbeque - I like to marinate for a few hours in any marinade of y our choice then grill - they are awesome. Some guys throw them back but they're crazy IMO!

Yellow jack are nice. I always shoot them when I see them while diving. Cook them just like you would a mahi or grouper.
