Pardons are under the umbrella of Federal Executive Clemency.

A pardon is for an individual who was formerly incarcerate has spent five years outside the Federal Bureau of Prisons and they are eligible to request forgiveness from the President based on the offense conduct for which they were convicted.

If no imprisonments was determined, it’s five years from the date of sentencing of fine or restitution.
