Listening to this song is making me really sad, lol. It just reminds me of how I’ve lost my passion for piano. I remember always playing this song and pouring my heart and soul into making sure it sounds just as Claude Debussy intended for it to be played—just like quick, flowing water. Now I’m just missing that old feeling of my surroundings becoming a blur as I settle my mind into the music under my fingers. I don’t remember the last time I practised. My piano teacher is quite annoyed with me. My grade 8 exam (British grading system) is in a few months. I should be proud of myself for reaching this far, but I’m just ashamed when I compare the way I used to practise to how I do it now. Maybe things will get better.
