Julianne and Natalie are flawless as expected, but having seen the film, the actor nominations campaign clearly needs a third person because I was not ready for how brilliant Charles Melton's performance was. Best supporting actor nominees better be shaking in their boots.

Natalie is one of those people in this universe whose beauty doesn’t fade with age. She is absolutely gorgeous and of course talented.

So lemme get this straight: an adult woman had an affair with a 7th grader (a child, a minor). They are Still together. Now, years later they're making a movie about it, and Now, the actress who's playing the woman in That movie... Is now falling in love with the Same boy that the woman fell in love with. Am I reading this right?

Equal parts touching and perplexing, Todd Haynes and screenwriter Samy Burch depicts a two-hander character study that showcases Charles Melton in an hereto-unheard of yet mesmerizing performance alongside the great Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore.

Since June that I have both Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman in my early acting predictions. I guess I'm sticking to it.

He was 12 years old, this is pretty black and white morally wrong.

Having just seen this film in London I can honestly say this is Todd Haynes’ best film and Natalie and Julianne are out of this world. Give them every award!!!

I didn’t enjoy the movie much as it was slow paced and there’s not really a conclusion at the ending. The good thing about the story is that they portrayed the women as abusers, you automatically feel bad for the guy for being used by both of them. Irl people seem to have a hard time understanding how this is the same as sxly abusing a girl, while in fact it’s been a harmful situation for a boy as well, so much it actually still bothers/traumatized him as a married adult

Fyi, the piano refrain is from 'The Go Between' (70s version) - this adds an extra layer to what we're seeing here. It's also about the corruption of innocence

So basically they're like hey let's make a movie about Mary Kay Letourneau, but use different names, and make it all artsy.
