Please don't accept these so-called scholars on the face. A little research always helps. Zakir Naik is out of India since he was being investigated for money laundering of $28 million. On top of it, he has properties worth Rs. 6 billion plus without money trail and also invested heavily in Dubai. He lives a luxurious life from the huge stipends he gets from extremists based in Saudi Arabia. His concepts are medieval and he disrespects women and people of other faiths unabated. As of late, he has started presenting himself as a celebrity more than a scholar. His arrogance is quite evident. He creates fitna wherever he goes. Many countries have banned him from entry.

I am ashamed to admit I was once influenced by this bigot and ignorant personality, until his debate on the shape of the earth came into light. He cleverly lied that the word dahaha meant egg, and not just any egg hut rather an ostrich egg. That was such an outrageous lie! In no arabic dictionary you will find such definition of dahaha. But rather it is on the lines of spread out or to spread. What was amazingly shocking was that no one from the audience knew the meaning or if they did no one had the courage to correct his bigotry. If you have to use made up baseless facts/definition/claims with no proofs/backings you can never be a scholae of anything. Zakir Naik became an equivalent of a pig for me since that day! Because he used a lie to propagate faith!
