Yoko Ono's legendary performance 'Sky Piece to Jesus Christ' is followed by Yoko Ono doing her 'Action Piece' painting, clearing the air in a scream, and then introducing a 'Promise Piece', in this video from Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, 2013.

In Sky Piece to Jesus Christ (1965) the members of a chamber orchestra are wrapped in gauze bandages. Ono views the sky as the epitome of freedom in contrast to the inner and outer bonds visualized during the performance. The performance is further explained in the related video interview 'A thing called life'.

Japanese-American avant-garde artist Yoko Ono was born in Tokyo in 1933, but moved to New York when she was 18, later becoming one of the most important representatives of the Fluxus movement. Yoko Ono, who was called "the most famous unknown artist in the world" by John Lennon, was actually a recognized artist when they met in 1966.

Recorded at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Denmark, 2013.

I know the performance was weird, but if Yoko Ono's name was not associated with it, I think the comments would have been less brutal.

Sane person, "What is this nonsense bullcrap!?"
Insane artsy person, "this was the most beautiful art I've seen."
Space aliens, "Is this really humanity?"

Will Yoko be there in the same place next year to see how many return with their pieces? Sad when she mentioned John and remembering how violently he was taken from her.

I'm constantly surprised by how gullible the artsy set can be. They see incoherent ramblings, unpleasant noises, and random smears as the highest examples of "art." This empress wears no clothes, either.

Somehow this "legendary (as in my A$$) performance" reminds me of the old saying, "It's better to be thought of as a fool, than open your mouth and..." Just feel sorry for the folks in Louisiana, hope the museum was compensated handsomely by the ARTISTE.

Can some one here teach me how to enjoy this ? For now i just wanna throw my coumputer on the wall but judging by the claps of the audience i believe i'm not suposed to feel this way, maybe i am missing something ? Or is it claping at this succession of crap that make it so great ? I feel really lost ... Maybe all this people are just really dumb or too honest to figure out she is a clown. Do we have only these 2 choices ? hate or love ? Maybe some people enjoy this just a little bit and others just don't care that much.. This is not the act in itself that bother me the most, it's every thing that surround it, all this material, all this people, all this money and time spent on something so fucking bad, I believe art is subjectif, but this is just so low effort, where is the passion ??

Ella no hace arte, es PÉSIMO, pero es una buena oradora. Creo que se fue por el camino equivocado.
