I'm not surprised, because dogs are more people pleasing than cats are, but they don't have to be, people should be the animal pleasing ones, do whatever it takes to make their pets lives more happy and fulfilled, because they deserve it just by being themselves, but also by having to put up with us.

We have a cat that was feral when it came to our house. He was still a little kitten. My husband said he’s (the cat) not staying, but I had him neutered just so he wouldn’t fight our other cats. It’s been a year and a half, Black kitty is still here. He has eliminated all the frogs from our goldfish pond, caught a mole, and a few goldfish. He’s fed every day but the hunting instinct has not left him. He ask to be petted but brings gifts mostly half eaten. Guess he’s sharing with us.

Ahhhh...pooey on domestication theories...most likely scenario thousands of years ago was in the middle of the night a cat just wandered into some poor dudes hut, made itself comfortable, disappeared a couple of days later, only to return days later, looking like it'd been partying non stop for two or three days, and brought a friend with it...and poof...pretty soon the furry guys were moving in everywhere...no peasant, lord, or pharaoh's home was safe...😁

I have had cats for over 20 years, all different personalities, but they own you, and it is all about pleasing them, i wouldnt have it any other way.😺😺

The domesticated cat is still being a hunter, since not being afraid of snakes, mice, rats and moles and so very useful in a household, in a garden, or in a rural area. A cat is about the size of a small dog so it fits in the house, but much more intelligent, and bond to human owners.
After 4000 years, cats are still the beloved pets that will take care of your security (as long as you offer love, food and security for them) since ancient Egypt 😺😸

They should be #1 in my opinion, and dogs #2.

Hello, the video claims that tabby stripes became more widespread from the medieval period onwards. However this was the original coat pattern of the cat’s wild ancestors felis silvestris lybica. So if anything the increasing coat variation would have meant a reduction in tabby pattern, as any other pattern would have been relatively at the expense of the natural coat pattern.

I just found you and it makes me happy. I am not a professional, I say these things from life experience. When one first meets a cat some people try to pet them over their heads. They don't like that. They don't like bells around their necks. They LOVE ❤️ when you first meet them if you look them in the eyes and do slow closes and openings.Cats have whiskers from their ears to the eyebrows all the way to the tip of their tails. Anything covering them (clothes) will mess up their rather.
Same goes for cutting their whiskers. You could get them killed.
If you have your cat decided it is the equivalent of cutting your finger downtown the first joint.
The puffy little worms that come in packing boxes Will kill a cat.
Milk gives cats the runs
Look sorry for lecturing. I've been homeless and haven't had a cat for long and long.
When introducing cats I always put mint or anything else pleasing on each cat and around happy places.
Sorry all

We didn’t domesticate cats. They domesticated us.

Good information, except the evolutionary part. My grandparents, (gone now😢) told us how they had SO many cats on the ships coming from Poland 🇵🇱 to the US. How they’ve kept the rats from eating they’re stored food for the journey. Such beautiful creatures I love my two!
